ESF Projects
Entering the European Union the NIFE has become a part of the structures providing drawing help from the European Social Fund (ESF). The position of the NIFE within the bounds of the implementation structure of Operational program - Development of human resources provide us with the possibility of realize the national projects at the level of Arrangement 3.1 Improving the education at schools and school institutions and development of supporting systems in education.
National projects are based on long term policies developping them in the context of clearly defined national framework. National projects are financed from the European Structural Funds and from the budget of the MoEYS, therefore the project courses are provided for trainees free of charge. According to the principles of ESF it is possible to include in the courses within the scope of the national projects only teachers who work with children above twelve years old. This means that cannot be involved primary school teachers, one room schools and nursery schools teachers. Exceptions to the rule are also Prague teachers because for them is prepared free of charge study, which is organised by the City of Prague Council with collaboration with the NIFE and covered from the City of Prague Council budget.
NIFE has prepared and currently implements national projects in the area of support of introducing curricular reform into schools, foreign language teaching and education of executives of schools.
Teachers can improve gratis (with financial support from the ESF and the MOEYS) their knowledge and abilities even in the future. In the following programme period (2007 - 2013) the NIFE prepares projects cofunded from the ESF namely in the field of continuing support of curricular reform, foreign language teaching, school management and recently also personnel policy.
