National project Successful Headteacher

The main objective of the project is to create a new model of system education of executives of schools and educational institutions in the Czech Republic and its verification in practice. Model is conceived as threelevel study

A) Basic training

This level is intended to prepare executives of schools for the position of schoolleaders. It occurs through Education of schoolheads and heads of educational institutions (i tis conceive as FS I).  The content of the project is based on definition of competences of  leadership through description of activities which he/she you should should be able to hold.

B) Professionalisation training

This level is aimed at assuring high rate of readiness of executives of schools and educational institutions for all leadership candidates. It is realized through Education of management of schools (FS II) which is realized within the scope of lifelong learning at a higher education institution.

C) Functional parallel further education

This level is intended to provide informations and deepen skills/abilities needed for curricular changes in the field of management of schools in accordance with long-term trends of development of society, regions, municipalities and schools and educational institutions itself. The education is realized through participation  in optionally elected moduls: curricular changes and new role of the school, management of process of the changes in schools, quality management and its evaluation, development of school strategy, supervision in managerial practice.  

Target group of the project

Executives of comprehensive schools providing basic education, upper secondary schools, conservatories and tertiary professional schools (excepting the city of Prague)

What  acquire trainees:

  • Basic and specialised knowledge and abilities in the sphere of  professional management of an institution
  • Update informations from the field of development of vocational education in the CR and in EU
  • Possibility of exchange experiences with leading experts  
  • Innovative stimulus to improving the quality of his/her own practice
  • Actual informations in study materials created purposefully for project learning
  • Contacts with engaged colleagues

A fter meeting the course requirements, trainees will receive a certificateof completion the course according to Law no. 563/2004 on Pedagogical staff and Decree on 317/2005 on Further education of pedagogical staff, accreditation board and Career systém of pedagogical staff.
