Cooperation with eTwinning NSS

What is eTwinning?

eTwinning activity is aimed at cooperation support of kindergarten, basic school and high school pupils and teachers in the EU.

eTwinning can be characterized as project in which two or more schools from different European countries carry out educational activity at a distance using information and communication technology. On a special web portal there are tools available for school cooperation; the schools can get involved in the eTwinning there, can register and browse the partner school database; teachers and pupils can virtually meet, cooperate – carry out projects at a distance.

In the CzechRepublic the teachers can contact the National Support Service, which provides information, methodic support, approves of registered projects, awards national prizes and organizes activities for support of schools in eTwinning project implementation.

eTwinning Methodical Seminars

NIFE in cooperation with NSS eTwinning organizes methodical seminars for teachers (eTwinning I – School Partnerships in Europe and eTwinning II – Development of International Cooperation Methods). These seminars are offered in all regions of the CR. The seminars are accredited (acc. No. 23 377/2006-25-440) and are free of charge (all costs related to the seminar organization are covered by the NSS, financed by the EU). The participants are awarded a certificate after completing the training.
